GaN HEMT Power Amplifier, 2–6 GHz
01Designed in Keysight ADS with HFSS EM simulation, fabricated on RO4003C and validated on a vector network analyzer. Measured oscillation was root-caused and documented — not hidden.

RF & Microwave Engineer — Ph.D. Researcher, Florida International University
I design, simulate and measure RF hardware — power amplifiers, LNAs and antennas — and I build the numerical solvers behind the simulation tools.
Electrical engineer whose career runs from maritime service engineering in the Netherlands to graduate RF / microwave research at FIU in Miami.
I work across the full chain: circuit and electromagnetic design in ADS and HFSS, fabrication, and VNA measurement — including root-causing what the measurements reveal. Alongside the hardware, I write numerical electromagnetic solvers from scratch (FDTD in MATLAB), so I understand the tools at the level of the equations, not just the interface.
Current Ph.D. research focuses on RF / microwave sensing of lossy media. Earlier hands-on work includes component-level repair of marine radar and VHF/UHF communications, wafer-level fabrication coursework, and teaching analog electronics and EM fields labs.

ATF-54143 LNA design with full stability analysis — a low-noise front-end balanced for gain, noise and stability.
Single element and array modelled in ANSYS HFSS. Inset-feed parametric optimization substantially improved match and efficiency at 2.4 GHz.
1D / 2D finite-difference time-domain electromagnetic solvers in MATLAB: absorbing boundaries, lossy and dispersive media, Drude plasma model and running DFT — validated against analytical solutions with grid-convergence studies.
ANSYS Maxwell models of magnetics: coil inductance with ferrite core and a double-winding transformer transient model with eddy currents and ohmic-loss analysis.
Periodic unit-cell analysis of a rectangular patch reflectarray element in TICRA Tools — layered-media MoM with ground plane across a wide sweep.
Analysis of NASA HIWRAP airborne radar data in MATLAB — working directly with scan and range-gate structure from a real airborne instrument.
